Join the Summer Reading Club 2020 for kids, teens, and adults at Springfield City Library!

This summer from June 15 to August 15, 2020, join our Discover Your Summer Reading Club to read and get rewards, and enter raffles for prizes!

Young Children Ages 0-5

  • Reading to a child each day helps them to become a READER!
  • Color an icon in a reading log for each day you read together.
  • Complete 30 days of reading and the library will order you a book of your choice (limitations apply) – simply fill out the form on the back of your log and turn it in at your nearest library location.

Kids, Teens and Adults

  • Read every day!
  • Read at least 20 minutes a day, then check off an icon on your reading log .
  • Complete 30 days of reading and the library will order you a book of your choice (limitations apply) – simply fill out the form on the back of your log and turn it in at your nearest library location.

 

What Counts As Reading?

Books • Magazines • Graphic Novels, Comics & Manga • Audiobooks • E-books • Online Articles • Gaming Manuals • As a family • During storytimes • To pets and toys • And more!

And there’s more!

  •  Visit your nearest library location to get a weekly “Take and Make” activity bag for toddlers, kids, and teens.  (Pick up using Curbside Pickup procedure.)
  • For kids, teens and adults, write a review for each book you have read, submit it to us, and earn a raffle ticket for each review written! Submit the reviews below. Read, Write, and Win!

Complete 10 days and bring in your log for a prize. Return the log when you reach 15, 20, 25, and 30 days and you’ll receive a raffle ticket for a variety of prizes.

Return the log when you reach 15, 20, 25, and 30 days and you’ll receive a raffle ticket for a variety of prizes.

BookFlix has arrived for the summer! It matches animated stories with ebooks to build a love of reading. | Children | Summer Reading

This summer Massachusetts Library System is partnering with Scholastic to give children access to BookFlix until August 31st, 2019!

BookFlix is a unique early learning digital resource that pairs animated stories with related nonfiction ebooks to build a love of reading and learning. Give BookFlix a try at the library or at home and let us know what you think!

BookFlix enhances story time programs and strengthens family literacy with hundreds of paired texts, learning games, and reading supports – in both English and Spanish. Designed for readers in grades Pre K-3.
