Candid.org is a nonprofit that connects those searching for nonprofits and nonprofits looking for support from funders. The Springfield City Library is a member of the Candid Community (previously the Funding Information Network), a nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit agencies that provide free access to Candid Search.

Nonprofits, grassroots organizations and individual patrons are welcome to use the database at any Springfield Library branch during our open hours. Connect on our public computers, or bring your own device to use on our WiFi.

Candid search is the most comprehensive source of nonprofit information,
combining decades of trusted data from Foundation Directory and GuideStar.
Access data on 1.9 million+ nonprofits and 304,000 grantmakers to:

The Community One Stop for Growth is a single application portal and collaborative review process of community development grant programs that make targeted investments in the Commonwealth.

Grants.gov
While Candid Search includes government grants, Grants.gov is the central location for non-profit grant seekers to find and apply for federal funding opportunities.

Small Business Administration
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers loans for small businesses, and provides grants to nonprofits, Resource Partners, and educational organizations. These grants aim to support entrepreneurship through counseling and training programs.
