Meet local author Guy McLain, and join a lively discussion with other book lovers from the Springfield area community about his newest book, Drawing Without an Eraser.

What does it take to become a great artist? Is it simply a matter of unlocking our innate talent, or is it something developed through training and experience? What obstacles must you overcome, especially if you are a woman in a male dominated art world? This novel explores those questions through the story of a woman who grew up in rural Texas during the Great Depression.

In addition to being an author, Guy McLain is the Executive Director of the Westfield Library and retired Executive Director of the Wood Museum of Springfield History.

Copies of Drawing Without an Eraser are available from the Springfield City Library.

This event is an offshoot of our Books and Brew Book Club that meets monthly at Nathan Bill’s Restaurant.
