Special Reception to be Held at Mason Square Branch Library
Friday, August 26, 4 p.m.

The public is invited to a reception celebrating a special quilt developed by the 100 Acts of Kindness Towards Pregnant Women Campaign. The reception will be held at the Springfield City Library’s Mason Square Branch, located at 765 State Street, from 4 – 5 p.m. on Friday, August 26th.

Project Baby Springfield, a working group of the Springfield Department of Health and Human Services, created the quilt in 2015. Over 1000 Springfield residents wrote down ways to support pregnant women, which were then incorporated into the colorful quilt and an online video, which can be viewed here. Dr. Andrew Balder, Chairman of Project Baby Springfield, will represent the group at the reception.

The quilt will be on display in the Mason Square Branch from Monday, August 22nd to Friday, September 16th.
