Sixteen Acres Branch Library
1187 Parker St, Springfield MA
Dana Roscoe of the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission will lead a presentation exploring the possibility of high speed passenger trains between Springfield and Boston. Roscoe, the Principal Planner/Transportation Manager for the PVPC, will speak at Springfield City Library’s Sixteen Acres Branch on Monday, July 25th starting at 6:15 pm.
Branch manager Reggie Wilson, who planned the event, commented that Boston, Worcester, and Springfield are not currently linked by high speed rail and that rapid travel across the state could drastically increase employment and education opportunities across the state.
This event is funded in part by the Friends of the Springfield Library and will be held at the Sixteen Acres Branch, located at 1187 Parker Street in Springfield.
