The Springfield City Library is hosting a number of events in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated annually from September 15th to October 15th.

  • Enjoy a delicious Flan Contest at Brightwood Branch, Thursday, October 6, 6:30 p.m.
  • Poemario (poetry and musical recital) at Brightwood Branch, Tuesday, October 11, 6 p.m.
  • Chilean and Dominican Movie Nights at Mason Square Branch, Thursday, September 22, and Thursday, October 13, 5:30 p.m.
  • Central & South American textile display at East Forest Park Branch, September 15 through October 15
  • Worry Doll craft program at Brightwood Branch, Monday, October 3, 3:30 p.m.
  • Art exhibit featuring paintings by local artist Alvilda Sophia Anaya-Alegría at the Central Library, September 6 through September 29 with an opening reception on Sunday, September 11, 2 p.m.
