Local teen girls who are interested in computer science and coding are encouraged to register for the new Girls Who Code Club at the Forest Park Branch Library. The Club is a 20-week series for girls ages 12-18.
Girls Who Code is a national non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology. Students in the program will learn computer science through real-world projects in art and storytelling, robotics, video games, websites, apps and more.
A Parent Information Session will be held on September 7th at 6 PM at the Forest Park Branch Library, located at 380 Belmont Avenue in Springfield. The Girls Who Code Club will be held from 10 AM- 12 PM on Saturdays at the Forest Park Branch Library beginning September 9th.
