Baby Days @ Your Library in April

baby3

Did you know that babies need books? The foundations for success in reading begin at birth! Come register your baby (ages birth through age 2) for their own library card, anytime during the month of April, and see what the library has for you! The first 200 families that live in the city of Springfield will receive a free gift! The Springfield City Library will have Baby Open Houses — just come in at the designated time and sample some treats and sign up your baby for a library card and find out more about how you can be your baby’s first teacher. Or try out a baby storytime or join one of the storytimes the library is hosting. On Tuesday, April 22, at 10:30 am we have special guest, award winning musician and nationally recognized Early Childhood Music Educator, Ellen Allard coming to the Forest Park Library to share easy to learn songs and tips on why it’s important to sing, dance, move and bounce with your baby.

Can’t make any of these special events? Just stop by with your baby, at any Springfield Library location that is convenient for you and sign up for a library card for your baby.

Baby Open Houses!

Come out and meet the other new babies in your neighborhood! Eight of the Springfield City Library locations will offer a Baby Open House! Grab a bite to eat, meet some other new faces, and, if you are one of the first 200 families to sign your baby up for a library card, and live in the city of Springfield, you will receive a free gift! Special thanks to our sponsors Home City Families, Friends of Springfield City Library, Big Y and the Davis Foundation.
