- C-SPAN is a private, non-profit company, created in 1979 by the cable television industry as a public service. Their mission is to provide public access to the political process.
- Democracy Goes to the Movies
- An annotated list of political films from the Springfield City Library.
- Electiononline.org
- A project of the Pew Center on the States, this is the nation's only nonpartisan, non-advocacy Web site providing up-to-the-minute news and analysis on election reform
- Elections 2008: A Web Guide
- Comprehensive collection of sites from the University of Michigan Government Documents Center, covering the campaign, the candidates, the issues, the election, and after. An excellent site to begin your research.
- Electoral-Vote.Com
- The website is dedicated to tracking this year's races by examining the state-by-state polls. As new state polls are released, the maps, spreadsheets, tables, graphs, etc. will be updated. For another poll-watching service, try FiveThirtyEight.
- FactCheck.Org
- Monitors the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews, and news releases. A project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. The FactCheckWire is a blog which tracks fast-breaking news about the election.
- Follow the Money
- Money in state politics plays a pivotal role in shaping public policy in individual states and across the nation. The nonpartisan Institute on Money in State Politics tracks contributions in all 50 states and makes this data easily searchable online. Note: No Massachusetts data currently available.

From the Center for Responsive Politics, a non-partisan, non-profit research group based in Washington, D.C. that tracks money in politics, and its effect on elections and public policy.
- P2008: Race for the White House
