BRANCH PROGRAMS:

NEW BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP FORMING AT PINE POINT BRANCH

Meetings: First Thursday of the Month, 6:30-7:30 pm

imageBook lovers are always looking for suggestions for the next great story to read. Now they can hear about a wide variety of books to choose from at the Springfield City Library's First Thursday Book Group for adults at the Pine Point Branch Library, 204 Boston Road. The group meets at the Pine Point Branch on the first Thursday of each month from 6:30-7:30 pm, and new members are always welcome.

Instead of picking just one book to discuss, this group features a variety of titles and genres at each meeting -- mysteries, romance, or whatever suits the readers. Staff reviews new and upcoming books of special interest, and members will have a chance to share their thoughts on books they've recently read. It's said that word of mouth recommendations are the best, and members are sure to learn from each other about new authors and genres, and to keep up with promising new titles beyond the bestsellers. Librarian Ann Keefe invites readers to join the group. "The Pine Point Branch, with its heavy circulation of novels, has always been a place for readers. If you enjoy reading and exploring fictional worlds, this new book group is a place for you, too. Join us in a cozy corner of this comfortable branch with ample free parking."

To join or for more information, contact Ann Keefe 413-263-6828 ext. 294 or by e-mail at akeefe@SpringfieldLibrary.org.
