The Springfield City Library system has planned a very special way for your child to show his or her love for reading! Beginning January 15, city children will be able to take part in a heartfelt reading incentive program with a chance to win a delightful Valentine prize! If kids up to age 11 borrow five or more books from any branch library they will receive a raffle ticket. They can earn one raffle ticket per day, so the more they read the better their chances to win a special Valentine prize! Our "I Love Reading" raffle will run until February 13, and winners will be notified on February 14. For more information, call 263-6828, ext. 201.

Scavenger Hunts
at the Children's Room!
Scavenger Hunts:
Children will use clues to help them find items hidden around the room. Complete the hunt and get a prize! For ages 5-12, with no pre-registration required.Wednesday, February 17; and Wednesday, April 21.
Children and families are invited to complete a craft project when they visit the library. All activities are free, and no registration is necessary. The schedule for drop-in crafts activities is:
Brightwood Branch: Thursdays, 3:30-5 pm.
East Springfield Branch: Fridays, 2-4 pm.
Indian Orchard Branch: Wednesdays, 3:30 - 5 pm.
Liberty Branch: Tuesdays, 3-4:30 pm.
Mason Square Branch: Wednesdays, 3:30 - 4:30 pm.
Pine Point Branch: Fridays, 10 am - 5 pm
Sixteen Acres Branch: Saturdays, 11 am-3 pm.
PLUS a special origami drop-in activity from 12-2 on the third Saturday of the month.
