Join us for variety of fun and educational programs at the Central Library! New storytimes begin soon -- we'd love to see you and your children!

SATURDAY STORYTIME: Saturdays at 1:30 pm. Ages 3-8, with siblings welcome. No registration is required.
Enjoy some great stories and make a craft. Do join us in the Children's Program Room!

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., through May 21.
For ages 3-5 years, with siblings welcome.Join us in the Central Library Community Room for stories, songs, and a craft! Preregistration is required if you'll be bringing more than four children.

FIRST STEPS! Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. March 21-May 23.
Especially for children birth-36 months with a parent or caregiver. Join us in the Central Library Children's Room for stories and songs and playtime! This is a great opportunity to help your baby or young toddler acquire those critical language and social skills.

PJ STORYTIME Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., May 1 - August 14.
Children of all ages and their families. Drop in to the Central Library Children's Room to listen to goodnight stories, sing songs and enjoy a tasty snack. Be sure to bring along your favorite stuffed animal to hold while you listen to some great bedtime stories!

PRESCHOOL STORYTIMES

It’s never too soon to start reading to your child! Bring your little one to our special storytimes and instill in them the joy of reading and the magic of books! Register now.

Mondays at 10:30 a.m., Indian Orchard Branch, 44 Oak Street.

Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., Forest Park Branch, 380 Belmont Avenue. Through May 14.

MUSIC, MOVEMENT AND STORIES for ages 1-4 years. To register please call (413) 263-6843.

Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., Sixteen Acres Branch, 1187 Parker Street. Begins March 21.

STORYTIME IN SPANISH!

Mason Square Branch Community Room, Wednesdays at 10:30 am. April 3-May 22. Call (413) 263-6853 to register.

Liberty Branch, Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. April 4-May 23. Call (413) 263-6849 to register.

Books, songs, rhymes, and playing, all in Spanish! For children ages 2-5 and their caregivers.

You don't need to know Spanish to attend, but all activities will be presented in Spanish. Call Jean at (413) 263-6828, ext. 291 for information.

Drop-in Crafts

Children and families are invited to complete a craft project when they visit the library. All activities are free, and no registration is necessary. The schedule for drop-in crafts activities is:

Brightwood Branch: Thursdays, 3:30-5 pm.

East Springfield Branch: Wednesdays, 3-4:30pm

Indian Orchard Branch: Wednesdays, 3:30 - 5 pm.

Sixteen Acres Branch: Saturdays, 12 - 2 pm
PLUS a special origami drop-in activity from 12-2 on the third Saturday of the month.

School and childcare groups:

All library locations welcome group visits; please call your neighborhood branch to book a visit for stories or library activities. Contact the branch hosting the storytime you’d like to sign up for and they will get you registered.
