The purpose of Read/Write/Now is to help adults living in the greater Springfield area to achieve their basic education goals as family members, workers and community members.

We provide an adult basic education program at no cost to participants. Our program promotes self-directed learning by recognizing and valuing the strengths and knowledge that adults bring to learning. We are committed to networking with agencies and resources in the larger community to assist learners and their families to meet their literacy goals.

We believe that adults learn best in an environment that reflects their diverse backgrounds with a curriculum that emerges from the interests and goals of the learners themselves.

In addition to basic education classes, learners can be elected members of the Read/Write/Now Advisory Committee, or participate in other special projects, like "Discovering the Power Within," or the Student Leadership Project.

Volunteer opportunities are available at RWN. Call us at 263-6839 to find out more.
