Springfield City Library is the place for you to borrow cost-saving museum passes

Thinking about a weekend getaway, or a day trip? With the prices at the pump continuing to rise, it's smart to start your trip at the Springfield City Library! Go online to search for deals, or borrow guidebooks, books on CD to listen to as you drive, or one of the new passes now in circulation at the library.

The Massachusetts Parks Pass provides visitors unlimited day-use parking access to state park facilities within the Department of Conservation and Recreation that charge a parking fee, with the exception of Nahant and Nantasket Beaches. State parks in Western Massachusetts include Chicopee State Park, Lake Lorraine, Mohawk Trail State Forest, and many others. Ask at the Central Library circulation desk to borrow the pass for a week, or click here to place a hold on the pass for pick up at your neighborhood branch: http://wmars.cwmars.org/record=b3361937

For more information on the program and a complete list of facilities, visit the Department of Conservation and Recreation's website.

The Library also has two discount admission passes available for visitors to the Mystic Aquarium Institute for Exploration. The Aquarium features sea lions, Beluga whales, penguins, and much more to explore. Request to borrow the pass for a week at the Central Library circulation desk, or click here to place a hold on the pass for pick up at your neighborhood branch: http://wmars.cwmars.org/record=b3541455.
