Friends of the Library logo



Used books, books on tape, DVDs, VHS tapes, CDs and comic books will be on sale October 4th in the large white tent on the Quadrangle behind the Central Library at 220 State Street. If you are interested in donating items please call Sharon at 739-0022. Not accepted are textbooks, Reader’s Digest condensed books, and magazines.

The sale will be open to the public from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., however a preview for Friends of the Library members will begin at 9:30.

Money raised will supplement library programs and will also be used to purchase books and materials.

The Friends of the Springfield Library, Inc. works to foster appreciation, conservation and development of the resources of the Springfield City Library system and cultivates awareness of the benefits it provides.

Please DO NOT drop off books intended for the book sales at any Springfield library. Individuals interested in volunteering or donating items can call Sharon at 739-0022.
