Theban Mapping Project An awesome site. An interactive atlas of the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, where Tut and his relatives are buried. Individual burial sites include maps, plans, and descriptions, with articles on the background and history of the Valley and mortuary practices during the New Kingdom. The interactive atlas requires the Flash plug-in. Egyptian Kings Chronological list of the pharaohs of Egypt, with short essays on the best-known (or best attested) kings. Medicine in Ancient Egypt Overview of medical practice in ancient Egypt, with especial reference to the medical papyri used by Egyptian physicians for the treatment of disease. Life in Ancient Egypt A short introduction to the history, religion, and language of Egypt, with links to other sites and a good bibliography. Mark Millmore's Ancient Egypt An interesting site from the UK, suitable for middle and high school students. Includes information on pyramids and temples, kings and queens, and hieroglyphs, with computer-generated reconstructions of some buildings. Some fun stuff too: glyph e-cards, screensavers, and lists of available games and videos with an Egyptian theme.
