Traditional book groups - everyone reads and discusses the same book
New members are always welcome - please drop in!

1. The Noon Hour Book Discussion Group meets at noon on the second Tuesday of each month in the Community Room at the Central Library, 220 State Street. For more information, contact Chris Kasputis at 263-6828 ext. 442 or by e-mail at ckasputis@springfieldlibrary.org.

2. The East Forest Park Wednesday Evening Book Group meets on the last Wednesday of each month from 6 - 7 pm at the East Forest Park Branch Library, 122/124 Island Pond Road. For more information, contact Maeleah at 263-6836 or stop by the branch.


Other book groups - groups with non-traditional formats
New members are always welcome - please drop in!

1 .The Wednesday Book Group meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month (schedule may vary slightly around the holidays) from 10 am until 12 noon in the Central Library at 220 State Street. Staff preview hot upcoming titles, and members share thoughts on recent reads. It's a great way to learn about a wide variety of authors and genres. 2. The East Springfield Book Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 12 noon at the East Springfield Branch Library, 21 Osborne Terrace. This group chooses a different genre of fiction each month to read and discuss. The genre for the following month will be chosen at the current month's meeting. Craft Groups
Grab some yarn & needles and join us - newcomers always welcome

 

1. The Knit Alongs Group meets every Wednesday at 1 pm at the East Forest Park Branch Library, 122 Island Pond Road. Beginning and advanced knitters and crocheters are invited to share ideas and learn a new skill. Projects for donating to area organizations will also be created. knitting2. The Drop-In Knitting Club at the East Forest Park Branch Library, 122/124 Island Pond Road. Will resume in September.

3. The Knit Lits Group meets each Friday from 10:00 - 11:30 am at the East Springfield Branch Library, 21 Osborne Terrace. New members are welcome and the current members are willing to teach knitting and crochet. This group works on individual and shared projects, and shares feedback on crafts-related books. 4. The Knit-n-More Group meets every Thursday from 5 - 6:30 pm at the Forest Park Branch Library, 380 Belmont Avenue. Knitters and crocheters are welcome. Volunteer Lynn will help beginners. Great for teens, adults and families. For more information, call the branch at 263-6843.
